Lauderhill Dental Implant Supported Tooth Replacement

Traditional tooth replacement options only restored the parts of teeth visible when patients smile, but this meant the supportive root structure was not replaced. These parts of the tooth may not be visible when patients smile, but they do have a number of other essential functions including anchoring teeth to the jawbone, stimulating bone density, and supporting the full shape and volume of gum tissue. Dental implant supported tooth replacement is the only option that restores the entire lost tooth roots and all. This means results look and feel more natural, and that oral health is fully restored. Many practices only perform half of the procedure, but Dr. Mark Wilde and Dr. Leslie Haller are proud to offer both the implant placement and restoration in one convenient practice. If you’re missing one or more teeth, we invite you to contact us to schedule a dental implant consultation. We welcome patients from Lauderhill, Plantation, and other nearby communities.

Dental Implant Placement

The first phase of dental implant supported tooth replacement is a minor surgical procedure where one or more implant posts is placed below the gum line to support a restoration. A small incision is made into the gums, the implant is inserted, and a protective cap is placed over the top of the implant site to protect it as the post fuses with the jaw. Over the course of three to six months, the supportive alveolar bone and gum tissue fuse with the implant mimicking natural root structures.

Dental Implant Restoration

Depending on the number of missing teeth, we can place a strategic number of dental implant posts that anchor any number of replacement teeth from a single dental crown attached to an implant post to a full arch of replacement teeth anchored to between four and six implants, we’re able to craft a custom prosthetic to restore the full form and function to patients’ smiles.

All-on-4 Implants

In addition to traditional implant care, our doctors are happy to offer the All-on-4 procedure as an effective and satisfying alternative for patients who have lost all the natural teeth along the top or bottom arch. Like the name suggests, four implants are strategically placed at an angle within the jawbone to fully support the new prosthetic, which eliminates the need for time-consuming bone grafting procedures in most cases and is also more affordable overall for the average patient.

Immediately after the surgical placement, we can attach a temporary set of teeth that greatly improve chewing ability, oral stability, and overall comfort right away for patients in need. Some patients also find that their overall facial appearance is improved as well by the added support! You’ll be able to enjoy your favorite foods, talk with friends, and smile with confidence again here in Lauderhill, FL.
