How often should I go to the dentist?
In keeping with American Dental Association guidelines, we recommend patients visit Den-Care two times every year for preventive dentistry checkups. These appointments allow our team to diagnose and treat oral health issues in the earliest stages helping patients preserve their healthy smiles for life.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal, gum, disease occurs when plaque and tartar buildup at the gum line irritates, inflames, or breaks down soft tissue leading to a number of oral health concerns when left untreated.
Are dental sealants just for kids?
Dental sealants are a great preventive dentistry measure for any patients who are more susceptible to tooth decay. Sealants repel bacteria that create decay causing plaque reducing patients’ risk for cavities.
What if I have an emergency?
Contact Den-Care right away in case of dental emergency. We’re happy to help patients with same day appointments whenever possible and first aid and pain management tips until patients arrive at our office.
What is a frenectomy?
Frenectomy is a procedure to remove some of the tissue connecting the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. This treatment is necessary when patients have difficulty chewing, swallowing, or speaking due to an excess amount of connective tissue.
